Building, Plumbing, Electrical Inspections Now Online
Towson, Md. (June 18, 2007) - Contractors and homeowners have two new timesaving options to schedule building, plumbing and electrical inspections for construction work in Baltimore County, County Executive Jim Smith announced today.
The County’s new online “Inspection Connection” allows them to schedule, reschedule, cancel or inquire about inspections for their building, plumbing or electrical permits over the Internet or through an automated telephone system. These self-service options will be available seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
“This is a real service enhancement for the people and businesses in Baltimore County,” County Executive Smith said. “This gives homeowners and contractors the option to easily access these county services online or by phone when, where and how they want.”
To schedule, reschedule, cancel or inquire about an inspection over the Internet, go to www.baltimorecountymd.gov/go/inspectionconnection.
The County will provide a list of the different inspection-type codes needed to use the self-service telephone system when it issues a permit. Contractors and homeowners also will find a printable list of the codes online at www.baltimorecountymd.gov/go/inspectionconnection.
The Department of Permits and Development Management, Code Inspections Division, conducted 111,396 building, plumbing and electrical inspections in 2006.
